Steven’s Pass is beautiful at any time of year, but the gorgeous summer weather makes a trip out to this spectacular area of the Northwest even more attractive. And if the stunning scenery isn’t enough of an excuse to head out, then the folks at Gold Bar Marijuana suggest you check out the upcoming Index Arts Festival!
Now in its 13th year, the Index Arts Festival is annual gathering of the Cascade Mountain’s diverse creative community, and not only gives artists an opportunity to interact with each other, but also allows folks from around the sound the opportunity to see how some of their amazing work comes together. Everyone at Gold Bar Marijuana is looking forward to the outdoor painting demonstrations, so make sure to pick up some of your favorite flower, edibles or extracts before you take the opportunity to watch a blank canvas evolve into a one-of-a-kind creation. It might just be the piece you need to—as “the Dude” might say—“tie the room together.”
Of course, there will be all kinds of other art on display at the Index Arts Festival, including photography, artisan crafts, pottery, and sculpture. There will also be a host of live music, along with poetry readings from some of the area’s most talented authors of verse, which makes for a perfect opportunity to partake in some lovely cannabis product and let your inner bohemian bliss out. To make sure the munchies don’t overtake any attendees, a food cabana will feature a variety of fair-oriented favorites, and there will even be a section dedicated to the little ones—so don’t be afraid to bring the kids!
The 2016 Index Arts Festival will be held just a short hop down Route 2 from Gold Bar Marijuana, on Saturday, August 6th. For a complete breakdown of everything happening, head to the official site.
